In FY23/24, many arts and cultural organisations used the Culture Counts Evaluation Platform to survey their audiences, visitors and participants. We have put together a free benchmark report, containing data from 93,000 survey responses across more than 500 surveys.
This report provides interesting insights into the demographic mix, location and experience of respondents. A key focus of the data is the important outcomes generated by arts and cultural organisations through their evaluated events, programs and activities, including:
- Aesthetic Experience: It gave me a sense of joy, beauty and wonder – median score of 88 (out of 100)
- Inclusion: It made me feel welcome and included – median score of 84 (out of 100)
- Challenge: It challenged me to think in a different way – median score of 73 (out of 100)
Organisations in the arts and culture sector can use this benchmark data to gain confidence in choosing the right metrics, compare against their own results, and set KPIs for the coming year.
